Life+ARCOS organized a small workshop with some talks and we also visited the actions we are developing in this protected site. All the attendees were informed about the importance of Natura 2000 network as a tool to legally protect the threatened European habitats.

Join us to celebrate the European Natura 2000 day. We open today a call to invite you participate with us in the events of 26th of May, 2018. That day, the Life+ARCOS team organize activities to show what are we doing in Barayo (Valdés, Navia) to improve the conservation status of the dune habitats.
Our work to weed the Barayo dune system brush continues. We are so close to fully recovering this protected area with dune species.
LIFE+ARCOS meets the General Directorate for Biodiversitiy, in Oviedo, to evaluate the extent of the actions foreseen in the Barayo site (Navia-Valdés, Asturias)
On the 14th of February, 2018, Life+ARCOS team met the Authorities for the management of Natura 2000 sites is Asturias to discuss the extent of the Action Plans to be developed in Barayo site. The meeting venue was the Edificio de Servicios Múltiples del Principado de Asturias in Oviedo and we directly met the people from the Servicio de Espacios Protegidos y Conservación de la Naturaleza, de la Dirección General de Biodiversidad. Among others, we discussed with the Regional Authorities, the elimination of pine trees in Barayo.
