Foreseen Actions> ARCOS LIFE
The main goal of the LIFE+ARCOS project is to improve the conservation status of 10 Cantabrian Coastal sand dunes by restoring 10 Natura 2000 sites in order to achieve an optimum conservation estatus of these areas. Foreseen actions are listed below.
Following the general schema of LIFE+ projects included in the Nature line, the foreseen actions are organized into these main chapters:
PREPARATORY ACTIONS:

Concrete conservation actions for dune restoration
Galium arenarium
This threatened species is protected by the Basque Country legislation since only one population is known in Spain. It has been included in the category Endangered.

Eryngium maritimum
Eryngium maritimum, the sea holly or seaside eryngo, is a species of Eryngium in the plant family Apiaceae and native to most European coastlines.

This workshop on culture techniques and dune species propagation methods was hold in the Atlantic Botanic Garden.
